Windsurf MCP
Each enabled Windsurf MCP server adds tool schemas to Cascade context every turn — even when no tool runs. Cascade supports up to 100 total tools.

Disable what you do not use

100-tool ceiling
Hitting the cap forces awkward server splits. Weekly audit:
- List enabled servers
- Disable unused tools per server
- Team: MCP whitelist via admin settings
Spike after enabling MCP
If quota jumped after adding MCP:
- Schemas attach per turn — disable unused servers
- Check Rules — do not duplicate tool docs in
always_onrules
